Hans Aerts is lecturer in music theory at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg and at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg. He studied musicology at the University of Leuven and at the Technische Universität Berlin, and music theory at the Universität der Künste Berlin. His research focuses on the intersections of music theory, historical musicology, and musical pedagogy.
