Adriano Baratè is a researcher in the Computer Science Department at the University of Milan. His research interests include Music Petri Nets, formalization and encoding of symbolic music, cultural heritage, and computational musicology. Baratè has a PhD in computer science from the University of Milan. He was a member of the IEEE Technical Committee on Computer Generated Music and is currently part of the W3C Community on Music Notation.
