     Ellen Bakulina is Assistant Professor of Music Theory at the University of North Texas, and a recent graduate of the City University of New York (2015). She has degrees from the College of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russian), McGill University (Canada), and CUNY (USA). She has previously taught at all these institutions, as well as Yale University’s Department of Music, where she served as coordinator of the musicianship program in 2015–16. Ellen’s areas of interest include Schenkerian analysis, theories of form and meter in tonal music, the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, and the Russian music-theoretical tradition. Her articles have appeared in several journals, including the Canadian journal Intersections, Music Theory Online, and the Journal of Music Theory.
