Mattia G. Bergomi is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Champalimaud Research, and a member of the Group Behavior Lab. During his PhD, he investigated how algebraic topology could be used to tackle problems as the classification of static and time varying data. In particular, persistent homology on variable geometry spaces and time series analysis allowed him to produce a topological description of musical style, both in the static and dynamical contexts.
