     Folker Froebe is a lecturer in music theory at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. He studied music theory, musicology, church music and theology in Hamburg. Froebe published several articles and book chapters on music analysis and the history of music theory, with a particular focus on the pattern-based counterpoint from 16th till 19th century. From 2007 to 2013 he served as Co-editor of the Zeitschrift der Gesellschaft für Musiktheorie (ZGMTH).
