     A Native of South Korea, Soo Hyun Jeong is currently a PhD candidate in Music Theory at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (USA). She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from Ewha Womens University in her native country and a master’s degree in Music Theory from the University of Minnesota (USA). Her research focuses on harmonic theories of the late nineteenth century. She is especially interested in multiple modern analytical tools for the analysis of chromatic music. She has presented her research at regional and international conferences including Music Theory Midwest (2009), Music Theory Society of New York State (2017), and the Keele Music Analysis Conference (UK, 2015).
