     Kostis Karpozilos is a historian and the Director of the Contemporary Social History Archives (ASKI) in Athens. He is the scriptwriter of the documentary Greek-American Radicals: the Untold Story (2013) and the author of a book on the Cretan socialist intellectual Stavros Kallergis. His book Red America: Greek Immigrants and the Vision of a New World, 1900-1950 came out in February 2017. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University, Princeton University and at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford and has taught at the University of the Peloponnese, and at Sciences Po. His current research engages with the role of political imagination in times of crisis and the emergence of ex-communists in the interwar period.
