John Chun-fai Lam is a PhD fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he studies with Cheong Wai-ling. His research centres on French music and intercultural dynamics between Europe and East Asia. Research findings have been presented at regional, national and international conferences. A stipend offered by the Österreichische Austauschdienst in 2016 brought him to Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien for research guided by Gesine Schröder.
