Alexandra Monchick is Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator of Musicology at California State University, Northridge. A specialist in music of the Weimar Republic, she has published articles and reviews in The Musical Quarterly, German Life and Letters, and German Studies Review. In addition, Dr. Monchick has recently published an article in The Journal of Music History Pedagogy. Her chapter on Paul Hindemith and the Spectralists is forthcoming in The Oxford Handbook of Spectral Music. She currently serves as the president of the Pacific-Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society.
