Natalia Plotnikova is Doctor of Arts (Dr. Habil.). Since 1996 she has been lecturing at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, Department of Music Theory. She is the leading researcher (from 2014) at the State Institute of Art Studies. The Habilitation Degree (2013, «The Russian Partesnoye (part-singing) Polyphony between the end of the XVII and the first half of the XVIII centuries: Source Studies, History, Theory»). She is the author of more than 150 scholarly publications on history and theory of Russian sacred music of the XVII-XX centuries including «The Harmonizations in Many Parts (Partesnïye) of Znamenny and Greek Chant» (2004), «The Divine Services by Vasiliy Titov» (2012), «Vasiliy Titov’s Polyphony» (2014).
