     Derek Remeš is a PhD Theory and DMA Organ student at the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, New York). He holds Masters degrees in Music Theory Pedagogy and Organ from Eastman, and Bachelors degrees in Composition and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music (summa cum laude). His research interests include music pedagogy of the German Baroque and French Romantic eras, figured-bass theory, early music analysis, and historical keyboard improvisation. Mr. Remeš has presented twice at the Music Theory Society of New York State conference, as well as at the Society for Seventeenth-Century Music, the Eastman Rochester Organ Initiative, and Pedagogy into Practice conferences. Mr. Remeš is co-authoring a book on Bach’s pedagogy with Robin A. Leaver.
