Born in Colombia and educated as music historian but also as pianist. His research interests include twentieth-century Colombian film music and opera, Colombian contemporary composers, Latin-American Twentieth-century music analysis and Ecomusicology. Currently, he is Assistant professor of music history and analysis in Bogotá, Colombia. He has worked as part of the academic committee at the Colombia’s National Symphony Orchestra, where he also writes liner and program notes.
